I have seen a couple zig- zig quilts on other blogs that I really liked. So i decided to give it a try. I cut up about 4 1/2 yards into 6" strips. Than I cut each strip into a 6" square and cut each square diagonally. Now I just need to find some time to sew it all together.
Your quilt is adorable! I am making my first baby quilt right now. It always makes me nervous to start the actual stitching. I am going to do a zig zag like yours! Great job!
ReplyDeleteNice! I like how your zig zag is coming along...great fabrics!
ReplyDeleteThat is looking super cute for a baby boy quilt. I am being tempted too, but am holding firm that I am going to make a postage stamp quilt with my current fabrics, but.... it is very tempting.

super cute! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for the really kind comments. I stayed up late last night working on it. Hopefully soon I will have it finished.
ReplyDeleteI like where this one is going!
ReplyDeleteThese are great colour choices! I love zig zags, I use hsts instead of cutting and sewing the triangles, I wonder if it is just easier to do it your way?
